Three Sealed Edges and a Planned Filling Opening
In a pre-made three-side-seal format, three edges form the pouch and the selected filling edge is left open for your product. After filling, that remaining edge receives the agreed final closure. This format has no bottom gusset.

Specify Outer Size and Usable Product Space
Provide the product dimensions or intended net fill before choosing a format. A wrapped bar, loose powder and cosmetic sample need different space even when their net weights are similar.

Define the sealed margins, filling edge, final seal area and any zipper or hang hole on the production drawing. Outer dimensions do not equal the usable inner product space. The selected seal width should suit the structure and equipment, rather than a fixed value copied from a diagram.

Final Heat Seal
Plan the final closure on the filling edge with a clean seal area and enough headspace. Establish settings for the selected structure and equipment.
Tear Notch
Choose an opening position suited to the product and artwork. Keep critical wording clear of the tear path and sealed edges.
Optional Resealable Zipper
A zipper may be useful for a multi-use product. A single-serve pack may instead use the final seal and tear access without a zipper. Reclosure does not replace the original final seal.
Hang Hole or Secondary Display Pack
For retail hanging, locate the hole outside the product compartment and final seal area. Flat pouches can also be presented in a display box or another secondary pack.

Materials for Your Product, Process and Storage
Choose the laminate around moisture, oxygen, light, fats or oils, aroma and handling requirements. A flat shape alone does not establish shelf life, vacuum suitability or food-contact scope.

Pre-Made Bags or Rollstock?
Confirm how your line accepts the packaging. A machine using rollstock does not automatically accept a pre-made three-side-seal pouch. Share the equipment and pouch-handling requirements you know.
Keep Product Out of the Final Seal
For powder, grains or crumbs, review the filling method, headspace and clean seal area with your actual product. Establish suitable sealing settings on the selected film and equipment; a material label alone does not prevent contamination.
Specify Vacuum Use Before Choosing the Film
If vacuum is part of your process, identify the product, temperature, storage and equipment requirements. Review the filled and sealed pack. Vacuum alone does not establish a food product’s shelf life or safety.

Digital printing does not use engraved printing cylinders; gravure printing uses engraved cylinders. The applicable production and setup costs are included in your quotation.
